i have a toshiba 3000-s353 laptop.

the speakers on this laptop is not the greatest. the audio quality sounds dry, stale and without any depth.

can anyone recommend some nice light portable speakers (flat speakers would be nice) that are very good quality.
i'm looking at ones that might be easily transportable............

Sennheiser headphones 🙂 The best investment you'll make...period 🙂 Granted...they wont really allow others to listen but hey...tell them to go buy their own!
 
Heh yeah, good one. For the same price, headphones would be way better, as
long as no one else needs to hear it.
 
Sony sells a powered speaker set thing that costs $90. Dont know how ti performs, but it does get 4W per channel 😀

I second the suggestion for Headphones. Those nice noise-cancelling ones are bad ass 🙂
