i'm looking to invest in a pair of good sunglasses. The $10 sunglasses from Dick's Sports just aren't working anymore. They just make my view darker and doesn't really block any sunlight. hell, if i still need to block out the sun or squint with sunglasses, we have a problem. any suggestions? Thanks

Don't know what kind of style you are looking for, but you can find Tifosi brand sunglasses at many sporting goods stores and better bike shops. You can get the frame and three sets of interchangeable lenses (smoke, amber, clear) with a hard case and cleaning pouch for like $59.

Depends on what style of sunglasses you want.

I bought a pair of Oakleys on ebay for about $65, you just have to be careful because there's a couple of fakes around.

What style are you looking for?

I have some Ray Ban's that i got for about ~$60 that i LOVE. They are great, have held up great and resist scratching. They are not super expensive but are better than any cheaper pair i have ever bought.

I guess I'm looking for an all around sporty pair of sunglasses. The current pair I have right now are the more traditionally style and kept falling off when i was playing ultimate. The main thing I want is polarized lens because the sunlight just goes through the ones I currently have and don't $hit.

Polarized doesn't block out sunlight. They block out glare and reflections that are coming from angles. I say just up your budget a bit more and hit up a sunglass hut for some Ray Bans. They are well built, use decent glass, and have a variety of styles.

umm, sunglasses look different on everyone, there is no best pair.

Go to sunglass hut or a similar store and try some on, one thing I do recommend are polarized lenses.

It's funny, i bought some $15 sunglasses from the supermarket that look better on me than those $100 - $200 designer sunglasses. Plus it has the right amount of tint - in bright sunlight it has the right amounts of tint while in low lights i can still see perfectly well.

get athletic sunglasses from bike catalogs... tons of quality SG for 30$-100$... no need to pay 20$ for mega-sht supermarket glasses, or exorbitantly priced 200$ designer-name glasses

REI carries Peppers brand which go for about 50$ and has working polarization

Bolle, serengeti are probably your 2 best brands in that price range for something sporty and good quality. I personally love my Maui Jim's and won't buy anything else. They were $150 and worth every penny.

Try a marine shop like West Marine or such. They sell quality sunglasses, the lenses are polarized, and the prices are usually reasonable.
