Best sub 300$ gaming monitor?

Buddy is buying a gaming monitor soon.


Shooting for a 22".

Love Samsung monitor's...any recommendations? I get confused by all the BW, WM etc versions.

spending 300 or less. (if its like 329.99 then if the price is justified he can do that)

EDIT: I did look at the LCD sticky, but didn't see any 22" sammy's under hardcore gaming...there just aren't any good ones?

I'm going to buy the Samsung 2253BW like in the next couple days. Best 22" I can find in my research.

I just picked up the 2232BW+ for $299 @ BB, and love it.

I have a nice 22" Sammy wide from Costco for 239...I dont have model here, but 1650x1050 native, 3ms refresh TN panel. And a 3 year warranty from Costco of course.
