Wanted a blower style, but the good ones seem to be large. Smaller ones have poor cooling and loud fans (EVGA/PNY). So open air?

Tried looking for shorter open air options but not having good luck there either. Zotac had one option...until I found a picture of the terrible VRM heatsink (or lack of).

Looking for a card to fit an un-modded SG05. A quality built card that stays well below the thermal limit (80c) at load with no coil whine that will actually last 5+ years. And Id prefer it to stay near 30db at idle to match the case fan.

Disassembled pictures would be nice with recommendations.

Thanks in advance.

Almost all of the 970 cards have no VRAM heatsinks. It's not a required spec as there is no voltage control allowed by the user for overclocking the vram. The vram does not heat up past specs at all even at 100% load without those heatsinks. So most cards don't have them.

The zotac and gigabyte cards are the only sub 10" 970s I know of right now
