i am in the process of setting up a business which will sell items (less than 50) through the internet. does anyone have experience with the various ecommerce solutions?

miva looks good, but their examples, though robust from a database standpoint, are awful from an advertising and marketing standpoint. noticed that a few sites actually over miva as part of their package. i am am working with dreamweaver software to map things out.

storefront by lagarde also looks good and has support for dreamweaver but don't see many sites that offer this for free. this seems to have more functionality than monster.com

all suggestions welcome.

I use OSCommerce.... opensource, easy to set up, pretty feature packed. It probably isn't as robust as many of the expensive software solutions you can buy, but for the price, I think it's great. You can checkout a whole demo on their website http://www.oscommerce.net/ , and if you want to see a functioning setup, check out the link in my sig.

thanks for the info.

its hard to see the detailed functionality of os commerce from their site, though that may just mean i'm a bit slow.

so far storefront and miva still seem like the best bang for the buck, though they are pricey. both seem to handle dreamweaver okay, which is what i'm using to build the site.
