Best store to buy software at education prices?

My campus is 300 miles away from the main campus and consequenly our bookstore dosent sell any software....

Anywhere online?

dang I was gonna say univ book store...or department...our EE / Comp Eng department had free copies of Visual Studio .net, XP, I think MatLab, and some others, that everyone in our department could use...needless to say, I took full advantage of it

Newegg sells "Academic" software...Macromedia, Adobe, Microsoft, etc. Could try there. I've no clue how they stack up to other shops though...

Check with your university (if your a college student), because for example my university (for undergrad and grad. CS and IT related degree fields) gives out all software for free. I can't even count how many Win XP's, Win 2003 server, Visual Studio, etc etc applications I have gotten for free thru them.

Which university is that?


Hawaii Pacific University

They only do it for Computer science students and Information systems students. They have some kind of partnership with microsoft and a few other organizations, and thats how they are able to do this.

Quick note: Academic superstore has POOR service. I don't recommend them from personal experience.
