These are the parts i have for my first build
3700+ San Diego CABGE 0517UPAW
300gb Maxtor Diamond 10 7200rpm
Audigy 2 zs gamer sound card
Plextor-716A DVD burner
Mitzumi 7-1 reader
1GB(2x512)Kingston HyperX KHX3200AK2/1GR
Thermaltake Silent Purepower 480w PSU
Thermaltake Viking Case

All thats left is the motherboard and video card.On the video card side im thinking of going with a 6800GT.
Im worried about the motherboard cause i want 1 that comes with a bios that supports the San Diego core and this being my first build im not very computer savy when it comes to messing with the bios and oc'ing.I want a board that would be easy to oc the processor and ram and that's newb friendly

Any of the nforce4 boards will work with the San Diego. My Asus A8N-SLI deluxe works well with the 3700+. The problem is that the San Diego is supposed to require a bios update. I upgraded the CPU, so I updated the bios before I put the chip in.

I have seen a couple of posts questioning if SD would post with shipped bios on several different boards, but I haven't seen anybody posting "The SD worked with the bios that my board came with". I would do some research on which motherboards have released bios for the SD, I know Asus and DFI have for sure. Asus has a core compatability page that shows which boards/bios support each core.

Then when you decide which board you want, buy it from a seller who will flash the proper bios before they ship it to you. Some sellers charge a fee for this service, many don't provide the service.

Monarchcomputers.com, will test your combo and update the bios along with installing the processor and memory.

From what I have heard they have pretty good service, and you get HL2 and Farcry free.
