I am looking at these boards for P4 3.0C is there a that difference between 2.8 and 3.0 C. I am looking for a stable system which is fast, easy to OC.

a) MSI 875P NEO-FISR with PC 3500 or 3200 .
b) Asus P4C 800 DLX with PC 3200 OR 3500.
c) Abit IC7-G with the same memory and configuration. I always used Asus with no problems whatsoever also heard some good things about Abit except when the board is RMAed , Abit sends a refurbrished board. Please post your resuts on stability, benchmarks. Will getting a P4E having a 1MB L2 cache is worth in encoding and games like Halo , UT 04.

Hi:
Not sure this will answer answer all your questions, but I've used an Asus P4PE for almost 2 years and it's the most stable board I've ever owned. Have a 2.4Ghz Pentium and a good case (everything came from Newegg) with 6 fans, and no heating issues, only problem I've ever had is an occasional cold boot hang up...and then I just hold in the power button to turn it off, wait 5 seconds, start up again. I've literally had the system lock up twice (both times my C: drive was almost completely full). REboot and no problems, cleaned up files to give me space and no more problems. A solid system with 1 gig of RAM, I run Photoshop CS on it, GoLive, do lots of imaging on files 50 to 150 megabytes, it's rock solid. Use it every day, leave it on for hours, sometimes off and on three or four times...never a hiccup.

Good luck in your search.
