I am looking for a stable and reliable P35 motherboard, processor will probably be a Q6600. I really don't care about overclocking. I would like to have built-in firewire, but I will get a firewire PCI card if necessary.

In the past I know that a Intel branded board would of been great, but I have read to many negative things on their DP35DP.

What would be the best one?

any gigabyte or asus board will be good for stability. i would go with gigabyte because their quality control has been better as of late.

$70 AR IP35-E @ MWAVE is the best value. It's the same as IP35 minus heat pipe and 1394a. Get a high quality 1394a, eSATA, or RAID card as needed. They will always work better than those that come with the MB, plus you can move them to another build when you decide to unload the MB.
