Whats the best one out there? Cost is not an issue. We already use Adaware and Spybot and were looking for something that is a little more comprehensive since we have the option to purchase a program...not download one for free.

Would using adaware's or spybot's purchase add on's be decent (pro or plus versions)?

There isn't a catch all spyware program. Manual removal is usually necassary with the aid of something like hijack this.

adaware and spybot are the best 2

use them both, together they find everything

the pro version of adaware isnt much different, a few more scanning options, and AD-Watch, which is a real time blocker thingie, it works like a firewall but not as well, and you have to tell it what to let in and out which is annoying

I use spyware blaster for basic real time protection. I also tell people to use mozilla, etc. instead of IE as thats where most of the spyware originates.

no single "best one", you need to use CWShredder, Spybot Search and Destroy and Adaware in conjunction to make sure you are safe.

see my sig for other tools

You don't need to pay a thing.

I routinely use Spybot and Hijack this as well as Adaware on occassion.

Be careful with "Hijack This" since it doesn't exactly give you much info. You need to know what it is you're letting it do.

Spybot and/or Adaware will do fine for you and, best of all, they're free.
