Best " sport" car for around 10k canadian

Im looking for a good sports car I could probably afford sonething around 10k but maybe a bit higher. Would it be better to buy something cheaper and do some mods on it?? What kind of year/model should I look for?

I was in the same boat as you at one point as well, and I looked into:

mid-90s Eagle Talon TSI
early 90s Mazda RX7
late 80s Supra
early 90s Camaro IROC

Mustangs are more common that mosquitos in July up here in Canada, but if you can find a nice early 90s LX with a 5.0, I've always liked those cars for the "sleeper" factor.

mustangs are no good. If you get snow in winter , forget it. Mustang is a featherweight and with all the torque yo'ass will get seasic from all the fishtailin

Mustang 5.0's have a lot of go-fast, but I don't like American cars.. (matter of personal opinion).

If you could afford a bit more I'd say a 1994-1999 Toyota Celica, they have a sweet body style.

Bah im just looking for something nice to drive during the summer my dad gave me his nissan sentra classic 92(Ive loved it since we bought it in 92) and i'll just drive that in winter.
