I've hear many good things about the ACS54's from Altec Lansing... 2.1 system with a bang for the buck.

two sugestion,
you can get teh creative labs soundworks fps 1800's which are 4 channel speakers for liek 100, but if you were willing to spend a bit more, you could get teh grand daddy of teh 2.1 set, Bestbuy has thekirlspch (or something like that) 2.1 channles speakers for 130, these things are sweet, loud, clean and very high quality, but they are more then you were looing to spend.

My 2 speakers and Subwoofer came in a bundle with an Aopen 12x DVD drive, and Yamaha sound card for $85 at mwave.com (Aopen bundle). If you're building a system, you might want to look into that. The speakers are awesome for the price, mp3's and dvd movies are superb.

It's obvious. The BA4800's from bestbuy.com for $99.50, you will have to pay tax though. It's the best choice you can get.
