Altec Lansing ATP-3 and ATP-5's are nice speakers in your price range as well.

Im not really sure what Im looking for as far as 2.1, 5.1 or whatever. Ive never really heard any of em. I plan on buying an SB Auigy oem too. Is there a MAJOR difference in 5.1 from other stuff? And what would be the best way to fit 5.1 on one smaller sized desk? 🙂

I just bought a set of Logitech Z540's at my Staples B@M for $65.00. 4 speakers and a sub. Very very nice sound and a wholelotta bass. You can get them for less online I think. You might give them a listen somewhere. They sound like a lot more than I paid.

I've heard that Monsoon speakers are very nice. They look cool too. I wouldn't recommend a 4.1 or 5.1 speaker setup if you have a small desk. I've found that the only desks that can really take advantage of those setups is a corner desk. On a regular desk, there is no place to put the rear speakers.
