Update: All set, thanks! :)

Been out of the Verizon loop for awhile. Need an uber-good sounding cell phone to replace my AT&T iPhones. My wife is sick of AT&T's service in our area - constantly dropped calls, no bars anywhere, etc., so we're ditching our iPhones in favor of going back to Verizon. In our area, Verizon is so good we got rid of our house phone, so we know the service is good here, just need some phone recommendations.

Price and features don't really matter, just looking for the best sound and call quality :)

The best sounding? RAZR. Just say it out loud..."Razor". Has a nice ring to it, huh?

Actually, I like my BB's, but I was talking on my friend's LG Envy, and it seemed really loud and clear,

-edit-avoid the candy bar style LG Chocolate's. I can't hear crap from them once the ambient sound level gets moderate. I don't know about the flip ones thogh.

I had a Moto Q a few years ago and it sounded great, but alas, it is no more. Guess I'll do some test calls at the local Verizon store. They don't appear to sell Razors anymore.

Rumor is a new Q is coming out very soon. It has been an on again off again deal but hopefully it will come through. Even though I have Sprint I would like to see another Q, I loved my original Q.

My first-gen Q was so good, I literally replaced my house phone with it. It was that good in the New England area.

I miss my Q. The battery life was horrible though. I could only live with it for about 3-4 months. But the call quality was exceptional. Motorola hands down is the best at radio technology.
I was halfway kidding about the RAZR. I had it for two years, and the batteries I would replace about every 6-9 months. (V3C). They have a RAZR 2, but I'm not sure if they call it that.

Definitely test working models though. I would see about going to corporate store. They are usually better at keeping working models for each phone offered.

Really? I got the extended battery for the Q and it lasted all day with regular usage.

That's the one thing I wasn't willing to do. I bought the Q for it's slim profile, nice touch since it was no thicker than my RAZR folded. And ever since I insisted on dropping the bulky phones. Verizon retention talked me into a girl Pearl BlackBerry. It's a decent smartphone that is tiny.

If you are wondering about that, it's loud but not that loud. And if the Moto's get 85-95% call quality, I give the BB's about a 75-85%. Also the speakerphone is loud but it starts clipping on loudest.
