Hello, my acoustic edge sound card died so I need to get a replacement. I dont play games, so this card will primarily be used for music. I have Klipsch 2.1 speakers.

btw: i tried the audigy 2 value sound card and it didnt sound as well as the acoustic edge.. so audigy is not an option for me.

i have the klipsch 2.1 promedia speakers myself so i can help you out...from what ive researched over the time period i have discovered that the chaintech av-710 is the best bang for the buck for 2.1 analog as you can use the wolfson dac and get 24 bit sound quality...http://www4.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=75655
check this page to see how to setup this card...i have this setup and it sounds awesome so i strongly recommend...also i have the monster cable upgrade with these speakers although i didnt recognize a huge difference from before but i always like to know i have the best i can do so i got them lol...here is the link to newegg for the card..its dirt cheap as well so it will help out your pockets :)...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16829120103

The Catalina is essentially just another Envy24HT-S clone with a few added bells and whistles. If you don't game at all, then get the Chaintech. It'll perform the same and will save you a few bucks.
