Depends on what you will use the soundcard for,however the Audigy 2 is the best gaming soundcard IMHO.

unless you have a golden ears; GTXP,. TB santacruz, Acoustic Edge or Audigy fill make you happy enough

however the Audigy 2 is the best gaming soundcard (copied from above )

and make sure you have a good pair of speakers

Think about the future. Get a card from a company that will still be around in a couple of years. Get a card that have good driver support. Creative Audigy 2 is a very good card. Review 1 review 2

Audigy 2 for gaming and probably best all-rounder.
Other cards have stronger/weaker points... TBSC is great for music, not as good as Audigy for games.
Philips AE/SE 5.1 is great for multi-channel audio and DVD, thanks to the QSound algorithims it uses, but not so good for games, or headphones.
