Best sound card for mp3's + gaming.

K guys, the father just got me some new speakers for christmas(are these good? I didnt plug em in yet) and I was wanting a new sound card anyways so I need a little help on deciding. I mostly listen to mp3's but I sometimes play some Counter-strike source and HL2.

What is the perfect card for me?
 
Thats my suggestion. You have an NForce 3-250 MB. You might be suprised at the quality of the onboard audio. Especially since you are just using stereo anyhow.
 
The onboard sound crackles and hisses, I have my old 2.1 Logitechs hooked up to them now.

Forget it, a friend is selling me his santa cruz for $15.

yeah, the santa cruz is a pretty decent card, my sister has one. it'll probably be better than any onboard sound. (besides soundstorm)
