Best solvent (or other way) to remove default heat pad?

Gotta new hsf. How do I get the heat pad off?

Hey.. you're new here so someone has to tell you, and I'm gonne be nice about it because other people will be rude;

we have a CPU processors and overclocking forum, this thread should probably be in there.. myself, I'm impartial because I also find that sh!t gets answered the fastest in here.
You need nail polish remover, that will work great, then when it's off, use some rubbing alcohol to clean it up. Welcome to AT

Arctic Silver's website has some good instructions on removing heatsink goo...which should also work for your heat pad
