Best solution for banded CPU pins(478)

I got 478 CPU with dozen banded pins , almost from 50 to 80 degree.
I'm thinking to heat it up by hairdryer for best banding results.
Any recommendation?

No need to heat them, they straighten out easily, as anyone who has had this problem before can tell you.

It's just a PITA to do it right.

I found that a credit card and a tiny flathead screwdriver worked best. Use the screwdriver to get them back upright then use the credit card to realign them into straight rows. You have to make sure they're all perfectly aligned or you will just bend them back over when reinserting into the socket.

EDIT: And if you don't have any luck straightening them out, you can always get a replacement (and maybe an upgrade) here for about $10-30.
