No need to heat them, they straighten out easily, as anyone who has had this problem before can tell you.
It's just a PITA to do it right.
I found that a credit card and a tiny flathead screwdriver worked best. Use the screwdriver to get them back upright then use the credit card to realign them into straight rows. You have to make sure they're all perfectly aligned or you will just bend them back over when reinserting into the socket.
