Best solo in a song

Like it says, what song do you think has the best solo?
In a Gadda Di Vida obviously gets listed right from the get go.

That Led Zeppelin song where it is actually a solo... the drums and everything stops and Jimmy Page plays one short lick, stops, and then starts again. I forget what song this is though.

EDIT: I think it's Heatbreaker

Ya know, there are so many generations of guitarists that there's no way to pinpoint what's my favorite. If you're talkin totally modern playing that excercises the outer technical, melodic, harmonic and improvisational extents of guitar, nothing beats Britney Spears.

The Live version of ELO's Roll Over Beethoven. It get's CRAZY right before the end.

Also have to throw a vote in for Dan Miller's guitar solo that wraps up the Live version of TMBG's Fingertips. Dan Hickey's drum solo for the Live version of Spy is good too.

Speaking of drum solos... One of my favorites has to be Edgar Winter Group's Frankenstein. THE LONG VERSION. Not that shortened crap they play on the radio.

Let see...

Rest In peace by Extreme - Nuno Bettencourt is amazing...
Joe Satriani..need I say more?

I have an MP3 of Paul Gilbert redoing "When two become one" by the spice girls, the cool part is he plays the solo to Stairway to Heaven and it just completely rocks how it is over that tune.

One of my all time favorites: Reeling in the Years - Steely Dan

There are sooooo many!

A guitar solo doesn't have to be a technical masterpiece to be great.

I agree that it doesnt have to be a technical masterpiece ot be great.
But really, there are a lot better selections out there than smells like teen spirit..

No one left to run with - The Allman Brothers.

Now that is some serious style, slide playing, just a good solo.

Wrong. A guitar solo must consist of extremely fast and extremely clean playing with difficult to understand dissonant melodic ideas and off beat rhythms in 13/8 time signatures within a non 13/8 framework over the course of 15 minutes NON STOP.
