Best software/video card combo for DVD?

Well, since I'm buying a whole new setup - what video card and/or software sould offer the best DVD performance?
I *read* about ATI's 100% hardware DVD (And LE is cheap!) But I've also read about some complaints, including DVD 'weirdness'. [shrug]
I used a V3 and SiS thingy under software mode and they both looked beautiful. (ASUS DVD software).
Geforce DDR was choppy under hardware-assisted DVD - never did try software mode on it.

So, Radeon LE or something else?
No DVD decoder cards.

I've always been really happy with ATI DVD performance and would suggest it to anyone.

ATI and WinDVD.. You get the Hardware compensation of the Radeon and the Multi-channel sound from WinDVD....
