Jr Media Center. no contest. WELL worth the money.

and they have a free version too, but if theres something you want to do and this version doesnt do it, most likely the paid app will. http://www.jriver.com/mj/

Beats me but I am ready to shoot music and DVD rips ;)

Been fixing the DVD folder names on our server (rip to folder format). PITA since I have to change them and then update the MyMovies database with the new names.

Been fixing music naming and adding more music to our server, I have a ton of music (600 CD's or so worth plus stray music mostly ripped around 99-00) that is generally in crappy mp3 format, some of which iTunes Match has "upgraded" for me. But cleaning up of the tags, naming, etc is a pain, and then when it is added to the server other discrepancies can come to light when our Media Center setup displays them (like an album being spread out over 3 "artists" or albums etc.

Between iTunes, WMP, 7MC, MM and Tuneup I hate music and movies now ;)

Good luck (sounds like you may have it easier)

I use a combination of Media Monkey and a Linux app called Puddletag. Media Monkey I used as a one-shot all-at-once clean-up for my entire collection. Puddletag I use for individual albums as I rip them.

I always liked foobar2000. It's something that's very bare bones by default and won't appear to fit your needs, but all of the features come from addons in the community. You can customize to your heart's content.

in iTunes you can select to not sync selected songs, albums, genres, etc.
