DVD Shrink - cannot beat spead and quality for movie only backups
DVD Rebuilder - more PITA setup, can backup entire movie and great quality if using CCE

Bitcomet needs to be on there. I haven't used Bittornado in a while but Bitcomet was better at the time.

Acronis True Image is also something that I would never want to be without.

Also Partition Magic.

And AutoGK.

I'm done.

Add Deus Ex and the Marathon Trilogy to your game list.

DEUS EX!!!

Also, does Adobe CS2 come with a thumbnail viewer?
If not I'd like to nominate ACDSee for your list.
Yes I know WinXP has a thumbnail mode, but its slow and has a poorly organized database.

I would add iptables and ipfw

Edit: Looks like the OP is anti nonwindows based apps. Updated the list, but still no vim. vim is used by me so often. I even had to get vi for windows, because I have to use a windows machine sometimes, and notepad is crap.

DeadAIM?
I've had nothing but problems with that program, always leeks memory, cpu usage goes up to 90%, crashes when i try to run the log viewer, and so on.
i've ran it with the recommended aim version too.

anyone else have problems with it?

You need the expansion to Call of Duty, United Offensive. Also, Age of Mythology and AOM: The Titans are great games, especially if you like mythology. I would get the original HL (should be VERY cheap nowadays), solely for The Specialists, a free mod that is the most awesome concept I have seen in any game. Last but not least, WC3 and WC3:FT are classics, you can't forget those.

Kaspersky > Mcaffee.

For IM: Trillian owns all.

Yeah, I don't have problems but if it's an ongoing issue for more than yourself I would be happy to remove it. Good input!

Some of these I don't know and some of these already on the list. A short description would be great, otherwise I'm going to have to google all these and write a description. I'll likely do this list but in the future a little more than the name would be great, I'll do the same for what is already on the final list, thanks.
