Best software firewall, free or pay

Well now that my beloved Sygate is owned by the demon that is Symantec, what do you guys recommend as the best software firewall? Free or pay, doesn't matter.

I still use Sygate Personal. You don't need to update it, it still does what it is intended to do. Install the free version, through a google search. If you don't feel safe for somet reason, then Zone Alarm will do although it is a Memory Hog.
