Best software firewall for cable internet access?

I have Zone Alarm and Black Ice. Zone Alarm did a decent job (I think), but would intermittantly wouldn't let me access the network. No email, no web, no network.

It was pretty irritating. Closing ZA would fix it or sometimes restarting the computer a couple of times.

Black Ice looks like a good one. Been using it for about a day.

What software firewalls do you recommend for an always on connection?

I use both in conjunction with one another as a layer 2 firewall.

Why build one? When you can have two at twice the price.
