Can anyone suggest a good program to convert AVI to MPEG? been capturing videos and automatically becomes an AVI file, and Nero(latest) telling me to convert those files first to Mpeg, ..............suggestions please.............thanks
 
I use the Panasonic encoder, but it sux cuz it turns everything dark -> to black. Not sure why, so I'm looking for something more accurate/better.
 
avi is just an extension, that's about it. the actual codec could be mpeg4, mpeg2, mpeg1, indeo, cinepak, etc... what codec are you using to capture?
