Best Socket A motherboard?

I am running a 1800xp
Game Theater XP
Radeon 32mb DDR
45 gig 7200 Wd
16x DVD 40x cd-rom toshiba
100mb zip
512mb crucial pc 2100

what motherboard should i get overclocking is important i need a stable one and one that is realiable i think MSI is good buti dont know which one i should get maybe nforce? Raid is not needed the D led's are very useful

I'll back that one up. Although I prefer the XP333-R. :D It has the socket rotated 90 degrees so you can fit those HUGE active heatsinks on it easily. :D

Another vote for the Epox 8KHA+ ,very good overclocker has LED debug display for trouble shooting on the board and no RAID which you don`t need anyway,also very simple board to setup & only one jumper to worry about (100/133fsb).

That's such a loaded question, I'm not going to even touch it. :D Everyone has their own experiences....


Like you two guys that like the Iwill... do either of you have that board?

I had an XP333R. It died after three weeks. I also had a XP333. It would lock up in the BIOS so I couldn't get far enough to change anything and save.

Since stability and longevity are important to me, I no longer look at what other websites say are "faster" or "overclock better".

I have to admit that when that Iwill was running, it was balls to the wall fast. ;)
