Best slot for NIC in Asus A7V133?

What is your opinion...I think slot 1 works well..I have it in slot 4...but my cable modem seems slower






 
Some people find Slot 1 works well.... and thats fine because I doubt youll be transfering full speed during a game (Since slot 1 shares with AGP). I prefer slot 4, it shares with USB and it works fine for me. Slot 2 caused me HD corruption because if your transfering full speed to a HD on the promise controller... then your putting DOUBLE the bandwith of the NIC on one IRQ... both the bandwith for the NIC and then the bandwith to write to your HD.
