Yay. I got the plastic case off my Athlon.

Right now I'm looking at the Alpha P7125 (With YS Tech Fans). It's $70 Canadian, so about $47 US. Is there a better heatsink tempurature wise?

I have a .25um 550 Athlon, which I believe is a 650 Core. So I expect good overclocking potential, but with a .25um core it's going to generate some heat. I have to get a powerful HSF.

What do you guys recommend?
 
VOS32's and alphas are really, really close, and VOS32's are cheaper.....BUT, they are bigger, meaning that on some boards (like the K7M) they have to be modified in order to fit on. Depends on exactly how much you want to pay, and what kinda motherboard you have. I've seen VOS 32's running for about 30 bucks USD
 
Athlon 550, Asus K7M, 128MB Micron PC100 2-2-2 Latencies

Yeah size is a problem. I don't care if it blocks a DIMM...I have 3..I'm using one now, and I'm getting another 128...but the power connector is between the DIMMs and the SlotA....
