best skiing/snowboarding in colorado

Hiya, I'm looking to snag some day passes for my girlfriend and I to go snowboarding for christmas. We live in colorado springs, colorado, and I need to know --

What's the best place to go snowboarding here?

I am a novice boarder, and she has gone probably 5-6 times [i.e. she can actually board, while I just kind of stand there and try not to fall over]. I've got about $100 to spend on the two passes.

Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Loveland has plenty of beginner and intermidiate slopes. There used to be a pipe there also. Cheapest passes of any REAL slope. Been to Winter Park, Breck, Keystone and Loveland. Loveland is plenty for beginners.

Winterpark is good for the novices and challenging enough for experts. It's one of the more snowboard oriented parks in Colorado.

Yes, i talked to some friends here in ye-old-dorm, and they say winterpark is good, and that loveland is pretty high quality.

Any idea on prices for mid-season day passes to those two places?

thnx,

Try Arapahoe Basin - great skiing/snowboarding and not as crowded as some of the other resorts. When I lived in Colorado it was one of my favorite places to go. 🙂
