best site for wedding rings?

I bought an engagement ring from blue nile. I was thinking about buying the wedding bands from them as well, but they seem a little pricey. Any alternative suggestions?

I don't know why any of you would buy anything as important or as expensive as a wedding ring online. Do you realize that most retail vendors sell at a 100% markup? If you go to a wholesale vendor, you can get it half off. And psst, they are marked up too. Then there is the issue of the LOW LOW LOW quality diamonds you are receiving. I can't think of anything as worse as buying online sight unseen. Well maybe going to your local mall and buying at JC Penny or other jeweler.

Please do some research. You owe it to your wives and wallets.

Diamonds are carefully graded, so you can know exactly what you are buying, without haveing to see it.
In fact it is better because different lighting, cases, etc... can be missleading, so you are really more objective buying on line.
The bottom line is the cut, carat, color, and clarity you want for the lowest price, and you will get that online.

Meh. If you are just getting basic wedding bands, then who cares, really? If you have to spend big money to make something feel more special, more power to you. I paid $90 for my wedding band. It's what it stands for that makes it important, not the fact that it set's you back a grand.

Heh, I bought my engagement ring from Uniondiamond.com several weeks ago and the result was beyond my every expectation! The lady I worked with picked out an incredible stone, I couldn't have picked anything better for the price myself IMHO. The customer service was just fantastic. Just be sufficiently educated on the "4 C's" and the rest of that crap (I spent the majority of a weekend doing research before I e-mailed the store) to make the buying process much easier.

I think he already has the diamond and is just looking for wedding bands now.
There doesn't seem to be the same problem with a band as there is with a diamond.

exactly, though diamonds (as another person pointed out) are the perfect thing to buy online. Bluenile quantifies every aspect of the particular stone you're purchasing. For my purposes I selected a very simple solitare with a small .78 carat diamond (graded ideal/H/VS1). Compared with brick + mortar stores, bluenile was quite thrifty. Regardless, I'm shopping for wedding bands. I've been to the stores (zales, barclave, etc) and I know what the various widths look like (I'll be getting a 2mm and a 4mm band)... now I'm just looking for the best deal.
