Title says it all...looking for comments/feedback/opinions on the best single GPU I can buy for this setup.

FYI I am using a I7-2600k/Asus P8Z68-V Pro.

My vote at the moment is the EVGA GTX 570 Classified (359.99 with free copy of 3DBenchmark11 on the EVGA website.

Thoughts?

Simply the best in terms of performance would be the 580 - unless you are defining best in some other way. If so provide more information. I'm assuming you aren't interested in 590 or 6990 cards as they are sli/xf on a single card.

You are right, I should have made myself more clear. I mean I would like the best value single card that I can buy now, run all current games (WoW, COD, etc) without having to run SLI/XF. I dont mind that the card is sli/xf capable.

Are you just doing gaming, or is this video editing, 3d modeling, or something else?

If gaming, the 590/6990. Or if single GPU the 580.

Also unless I am blind, I cant find a GTX 580 with a display port connection...

Just gaming, and I believe the 590 is way overboard in terms of price. I figured the GTX 570 Classified will handle all the games I currently play and potential future games, as well as offering a Display Port Connection, while still $140 cheaper than the stock GTX 580

will mini DP do? the 6950/6970 would also be a good candidate. 570 would also be awesome, if you can find one with DP. also, what resolution do you game at?

I can afford a nicer card than the Zotact 550ti, but I dont want to spend $700 on the HD 6990. I think I will stick with the gtx 570 classified. I realize there aren't any rebates, but I feel it will be a great card for what I want to do at a price I am willing to spend.

Just curious but why not try dvi or 2560x1600? May as well exploit your monitor and dvi should work although the cable is clunkier.

what size psu does your computer have? if you have something like a 450, that's going to seriously limit your choices.

I was told Display Port was superior for games over DVI, especially with the U2410.

I have an Antec HCP 850, so I am not too worried about power consumption.

I prefer 1920x1080 just as a personal preference.

Actually I'd say the opposite...for gaming especially is when you won't notice the difference between DVI and DP, as most (all?) games do not take advantage of the extra color depth that DP offers.
