We have a simple chandelier like this in our bedroom and my wife was thinking of replacing the old drop down semi-flush mounted lights in the dining area with two like the one I linked to. The replacement would be pretty simple/straight forward. She likes the idea of moving them a couple feet and hanging them form a hook to get better placement in the dining area (we have a very long narrow table that seats 10... we have 6 kids).
What kind of bulbs would work best? I thought some daylight LEDs like this would be OK. They don't seem too big--but I would like something even more compact ("short").
Why? I really dislike seeing the bulbs peaking below shades. Messes with my eyes. I love light, especially daylight bulbs, just not the glare and searing of exposed bulbs. Maybe someone makes something like those Phillips "arched" LEDs but arched to extrude less down?
