How much are you looking to spend? Do you need progressive scan? etc?

I can get a 25% discount on anything at Radioshack and since I don't have a DVD player, an RCA 5215P seems like a decent deal.

If any of you guys have own or owned the said item, can you give me what your thoughts on it are?

Also, what are other good item at Radioshack that I can pick up?

Thanks.

I wouldn't get an RCA. If you are looking to spend less than $200 go with a Panasonic RV31. IMO it's worth twice the price :D Pioneers are also good

Well... i'm not looking to spend too much... below $300 preferably.... i'm looking for a basic player.. i'm hoping for one that has good features, quality and minimum of problems...
I would prefer progressive scan but that would drive the price way up... I guess i'll just have to wait longer to get a better one...
For now i just need a good one.. :)

thanks guys for the posts

I don't know if they sell these anymore, but I remember reading a bunch of articles a few years back on the oustanding quality of their Optimus Pro-LX8 bookshelf speakers. It had a very high-quality tweeter. Actually, s lot of their Optimus speakers get surprisingly good reviews.

As for RCA, I do NOT recommend their TVs. I had a 27" 5 or 6 years ago that completely went out about a week after I bought it. :| It was repaired under warranty, but I ended up just giving it to my parents because I wanted something that wasn't junk.
