Hi. I like to reencode the audiobooks I buy to put on my MP3 player. I'd like them nice and small to save space. Are there any optimal settings (like --r3mix for music) in VBR or something that keeps optimal quality at minimum space? Right now I CBR them at 96 or VBR them between 64 and 96. There's a pretty significant difference between 96+ (crisp) and below that (the person sounds covered and distant, like bad AM radio). Is the --voice setting optimal? Or is anything different than just 32kbps mono just wasting space?
If you've found any settings or if there's a special setting I've missed somewhere, please let me know.
