Best season of 24?

As of a few weeks ago I had seen only a handful of episodes of 24. Since, I've watched all of the first and second seasons. I found the first season pretty annoying. Jack's wife seemed like she whined the entire episode, and Kim got kidnapped 3 times in one day. The first half of season 2 was great, but it seemed like it dragged out for the second half.

So my question to those of you who have seen all the seasons is: What's the best season of 24 so far?

I'm not including season 6 in the poll as it isn't finished yet.

Five is my favorite, second season is close behind. I agree about Teri being annoying though, haha.

It was a step up from Season 4, but definitely not the best of the series.

I like Season 3 the best, and I'm a little surprised I'm the first one to vote for it. I have recently watched all of them, and it stands out to me as my favorite.

1 is probably me least favorite. I don't get why it's so popular, plus Teri Bauer is so annoying. I especially hate the part where her doctor friend she prolly banged a few times came to help her after she was all strung out from the car explosion and he's like "we gotta get you to the hospitla", "NO", "cmon now you have to", "NO NO i just dont want to!" (in a very whiney voice). Probably between 2, 3, and 5 for best season, with 4 being near 1 give or take.

That was one of my main gripes with season 1 as well. She also knows her husband is really busy trying to save the president-to-be's life, and she still calls up and wants CTU to track him down so she can talk to him. And Kim getting kidnapped 3 seperate times in 1 day? C'mon...

Terri: No, I don't want to, no no. Where's Jack? Where's Kim? Let me talk to them!!!

Kim: Can I talk to my dad? It's important.

Sherri: You need me David. Let me help you.

That's about the gist of season 1.

I probably suffered from watching 1 after 5 and 3 (I watched the show in the order 5, 3, 1, 2, 4), but the threat in 1 seems relatively trivial, and they waste an inordinate amount of time worrying about Kim (a fault I also attribute to 2). As a result, the silly intro ("My name is Jack Bauer . . . today is the longest day of my life) just seems whiny considering the stress JB will experience in later seasons. I think the reason I like 3 the best is that he has to do SO MANY heart-wrenching things. 3 just seems to have the most human drama.

Jack in the limo with the bad guy in season 1, grinning while behind the bulletproof glass, bad guy takes some shots... jack grins some more :)

ugh, this is exactly why the series has gone down the sh!tter. there's no drama left when the show has already set off 2 nukes, seran gas, and countless other varieties of weapons. should i really be on the edge of my seat when buchanan announces, "if weapon N goes off, 50,000 more people could die than when weapon M went off."

IMO, 24 really came into its own with Season 2, which was my favorite by far. I did enjoy Season 1 however but I'd rank it behind 2 and 3. I don't see how anyone, who's seen every season, can rank last season or this one ahead of the first 3. I thought last season had its good moments but as a whole, was a letdown. This season started out with a bang but has really gone downhill since.

Definitely not Season 6. Season 6 is off to a horrible start and I don't even think I'm going to watch the show anymore because I just don't look forward to it. I get bored with it.

I dunno, I am going to go w/Season 3. Granted Season 3 was the first season I saw (3 -> 1 -> 2 -> 4 -> 5 -> 6) I still enjoyed it the most. Season 5 is by far the 2nd worst season and season 6 is the worst.

I agree with your statement almost word for word, except I enjoyed season 3 more than season 2, but again, season 3 was the first season of 24 I ever saw.
