Best SDRAM AMD or Intel mobo?

Looking for a cheap upgrade here and also want to use my 2x256MB of crucial PC133 CL2.

Initial thoughts:

* KT133A board from Abit or ASUS
* i845 board (ASUS P4B?)

I know DDR is cheap, just saving my pennies for a better upgrade later.

Don't get a KT133a. Get a KT266a if you go VIA as it is much better and updated. Also look at some of the updated SiS chipsets.

But yea, if you must use SDRAM, then go AMD

Well, dunno if you live in NothWest... They have frys in cali,oregon,washington. K7S5A Pro with a 1800+ Retail CPU for 59.00. Plus before you spend money on your ram at crucial, might as well go with the 2700 2.5cl I went with the DDR PC3200. Anyway they have a 5% off coupon just do a search for it.

Good Luck...

Yea, No Fry's in Oklahoma. I bet that's how I got it so cheap. I already had the SDRAM and the T-bird, just needed a good SDRAM board for cheap.

Anyway, I'm posting from the new box. The board rocks, got it installed and running on the first try with XP Pro and a 1.2 Tbird. Very cheap upgrade, thanks.
