i'm looking to make a photoblog, something simple yet elegant. i don't want to go crazy with the scripting -- i want something basic but functional.

i know there are a few tutorials out there, but they all seem dated, and i want to know if there's a good recent one that someone can recommend for the design i am looking for below.

i'm looking at blogs such as these for designs:

http://www.zoomvienna.com/
http://www.jyoseph.com/photoblog/
http://www.chromasia.com/iblog/
http://www.quarlo.com/
http://ixtayul.blogs.com/
http://www.efeb.info/
http://digital.lifekapptured.com/

the point is, i want something that has a picture and perhaps allows me to type up to a paragraph of text + EXIF information. i want the images to be clickable (to get a larger sized image, if possible). i also am looking to maintain archives, of course, so i'm hoping whatever script i find supports that.

i still use movabletype, but i haven't hacked it in awhile (last time didn't go over so well) so i'd ideally like to see a sample page before attempting to make changes to the code. a lot of the photoblog tutorials i've looked at do not seem to show samples of output, which is something i'm really looking for before i try.
