best cheap cleaning solution is a mix of rubbing alcohol and distilled water. Works great too.

This is what I use; it is a 50/50 mix of isopropyl alcohol and distilled water. The normal content of the isopropyl alcohol in the bottle is a 70/30 mix already. The 50/50 does something for the streaks

Do you mix the 70/30 with an equal amount of water? Or mix it with enough water so that it is 50/50?

I eyeball another 1/5 of distilled water per bottle to bing the solution to 50/50 all around.

This is what i was using before also. Then I tried this stuff while at work and it sold me instantly. I have never seen my screens this clean ever!

Yeah the shipping sucks but you are getting enough to last you a VERY Long time. and the rag they give you a lint free rag that is ultra (no pun intended) nice!

I don't expect everyone to buy it but it certainly is the BEST screen cleaner I have ever used and working at compusa i tried them all. it comes HIGHLY recommended

What ever happened to a little spit and a tissue? :p

Personally I use a microfiber towel - with or without a little water.

I've read from numerous sources that you shouldn't use alcohol, or alcohol-based solutions, because it potentially damages the anti-glare coating. This is in regard to crt monitors.

Dell recommends the use of a 50/50 isopropyl solution on LCDs which have anti glare coatings. I have heard that ammonia based cleaners are definitely a no no. All displays are different tho'. So get someone that has your model to try your cleaning method of choice first :p

I just use those LCD cloths that came with my jobs apple cinema displays. Everytime we order one I take the cloth. Have a whole bunch of them. They work great on my laptops. Havent used it yet for my 2007FPW because I havent touched the screen yet so there is no need. They also clean my eyeglasses great too.
