My vote goes for the breakfast lunches!

Those homemade cinammon rolls were the bomb!

Nothing beat the cheap eggs and sausage, throw in some OJ and chocolate milk and you are set till you get home.

Ahhh *drools*
 
back in the day it was those little tater tots or the mashed potatoes and gravy you got with steak day.

man it's been so long since i've had a school lunch, they were pretty decent.
 
The french toast sticks w/ sausage patties were always the best, but now in high school they don't have those anymore.

Right now Bosco Sticks are all the rage 😀 😀
 
I kinda liked the chicken nuggets. I miss the weird sauce that they gave us with it. It's not sweet and sour and it's not BBQ. Never could figure it out. Maybe I don't want to know.
 
Chicken patties, Chicken n' noodles, mashed taters, tater tots...

Seems like everyone had rectangle pizzas, lol

My favorite:
1) Rectangle pizza (pepperoni - the rectangle had 3 pepperonis in a line down the middle of the pizza)
2) Chicken patties
3) Corn dogs (in early grade school... they got nasty by the end of middle school)

That was all in elementary/middle school. After that is when I realized the lunches sucked.

By the way, did anyone ever notice the food progression in school?
I mean, monday we had fried chicken, tuesday was chicken patties, wed. showed us chicken nuggets and friday was chicken soup.
Coincidence?
I THINK NOT!
 
My all-time favorite was sloppy joes. Except my school; cafeteria called them "Barbecued Beef on a Bun" for some reason.

I found that my elementary lunch was better than middle or high school...it was pretty good.
