Best SC and Monitor

As some of you know I am putting together a 2.8 GHz system with a Radeon 9700. I am using an asus p4t5333-c MB that has built in audio. What is a good sound card. The only one that I have ever heard is my brothers audigy x-gamer. I liked the way it sounded in the demos but I hear bad things about them.

I have a $6000.00 Home theater system so it isn't really for movies or music. Just the occasional listen on the computer and the video games.

Also, what is the best monitor for games and the occasional movie. I hear LCDs are fussy in games. I would like a good monitor that will last and do well with my radeon 9700.

Thanks.

Well, I would recommend the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz or the Game Theater XP..but since this isnt going to be for music all that much..I suppose a Creative card would suit you just fine, as most people do claim that the Creative cards are better for games. Still, I think you should look into Phillips 'Edge' cards or the Hercules Fortissmo II.

As for your monitor choices, you are probably wanting a nice big monitor with nice refresh rates, right🙂 Well, I would recommend Samsung monitors, the 955DF is a pretty good monitor and the 900NF is even better.

Hope these suggestions help make your shiny new machine even shinier🙂

Get the Turtle Beach Sound Card, it's only 60 something USD at newegg.com

i also agree on the samsung 955DF clean monitor. I have the 753DF and it's awesome.

umm, i think TWO recommendations for samsung monitor and TBSC sound card should be good enough😉😀

Umm... where could "ONE" get the Samsung Monitor for a cheap price??? Specifically the 19" model... I'm in desperate need for a monitor... if you could help out.. thnk u thnk u..

the 900NF is a very good monitor, however, if you dont want to spend the extra money for it, then the 955DF will be just as good
