Personally, I think Tomlinson is far and away the best. He plays for the CHARGERS, which means no line, no strong passing game, and in the 2nd half they have to pass more than he'd like because they get behind, and yet he STILL puts up amazing numbers. Put him with the Chiefs' line, and he'd be breaking records.

What do you think?

Tomlinson in a runaway. Nobody has done more with less since Barry Sanders. Look at his stats last year with no supporting cast.

As far as pure skill, Edge, no doubt. He can do everything, but isn't asked to as much now that Peyton has all sorts of confidence.
For pure brutal straight ahead danger that no linebacker can stop, Jamal Lewis. That guy is freakin scary when he gets up to speed and has only two or three tackles to break.
Ladainian is number 2 right behind James though, he's an impressive back. I just hope he doesn't lose motivation playing in SD and let his numbers tail off.

I dunno, maybe before he blew his knee out.

I have to go with Tomlinson. If only the Seahawks could do a straight-up trade of Alexander for LT. ;)

no no, Dallas already has a trade in the works....we're giving them Eddie George! Come on, he isn't washed up...really! We'll even throw in Vinny T!

I vote for Clinton Portis.

Young, quick and powerful.

With Joe Gibbs back, they'll probably have Portis carry it 100 times per game, lol.

In terms of awesomeness in fantasy football, it's totally Priest Holmes.

Too hard to say. I guess if your criteria relates to who would fit in the best on any team, i'd say it's pretty close between ahman green (major downfall = fumbling, though he's better lately), holmes (not sure how he would fare in a weaker line), and tomlinson (untested big game mentality, though).

If this were a few years back, it would have been a lot easier...

You can put any 3rd string runningback behind the KC or Denver offensive line and they will rush 1000+ with 7+ TD's.

Put Priest or Portis (or Mike Anderson or Terrell Davis of Denver fame) behind the Charger's Offensive Line (if you can call it that) and see what kind of numbers they post.

LT hands down.

LT2 for sure if he would get just a little passing game from the offense he would rush for 2000+ yards and 1000 yards receiving!!

LT - the most complete back around. Can run, block, catch, juke, break tackles, won't fumble, not an off field distraction. I'd say he's the best player in the league.

I disagree with Terrell. That guy could cut and slash like nobody else.

My ffl partner and I had the #1 pick last year, and we took LT2. We took ahman green in the 2nd, which pretty much sealed the season for us, but we didnt know that :D. LT2 was a top5 receiver last year, even though he's a runningback. I bet he puts up the same/better numbers than he did last year.

Terrell Davis feasted on Denver's offensive line. Only reason he broke 2,000 rushing yards.

Terrell was an AMAZING player, no doubt about that, but to post up the numbers LT posted, 1600+ yards rushing with 100 receptions... considering he has no offensive line, I just can't imagine that.

Add Clinton Portis of Denver Fame too.

I doubt he'll be as great as he was in Washington. Yes he'll rush for 1300 yards and 8 TD's. But his 1550+ yard days with long scores are nearly over.

I agree. Sure, he's a good back, but he isn't as great as people seem to think. He won't be the same in Washington, even if he gets 50 carries a game with Gibbs.

LT and Holmes are both uber elite... I'd take either of them. For one year I'd probably take Holmes but LT has youth on his side. It's win-win.

Why are you showing such disrespect to Marshall Faulk? :p I voted for Tomlinson cuz Faulk is past his prime. :brokenheart:
