In my last house I used a Zyxel which worked great. I would run 6 accounts of Daoc (mmog) on three comps without a hitch. I moved down the street and left the router behind. I bought a Linksys BEFVP41 and now I get LD's after about 30 seconds on the background clients. I built two new fast machines and I still get LD's. I upgraded the router's firmware which greatly improved the situation but it still happens.

Right now I am running 2 new comps and one of my old ones.

SUS A8N-SLI Deluxe
AMD 3500
1 GB Corsair
WD SATA
6600 GT
WinXP SP2
Cable Modem

I just moved my Linksys router to one of my businesses so I have the option to buy anything now. Its hard to tell from online reviews which is best because Linksys, DLink and Netgear market so much. Zyxel has a USB print server router that sounds good but I can find little info on the topic, plus I would have to order one from an online retailer and don't want to be without internet for a few days. I would go nuts.

thanks in advance

My D-Link DI-604 has been the best router I've owned, for consumer-level stuff I'd recommend that. Or, you could get something like a Cisco SOHO 91 which is what I'm considering, that's $250 though.

I have a Linksys WRT54G router and never had any LD problems of any kind running multiple DAOC accounts. The router cost me $50 after $20 in rebates...

Go back to your old house and tlel them you forgot something. Then go get your router back and put in a cheaper one for them since they'll probably have no use for it.
