Best router for gaming?

Hi, I need to hook a few of my computers (and my PS2) up through a router. I've had a linksys router for a couple years and it's been nothing but trouble, and finally crapped out completely.

I was looking at the standard netgear 4-port broadband router (not wireless). Would this be a good choice? I can't find any information anywhere on which ones are best for gaming, or if there is any difference in this regard.

Honestly as long as your router is operating properly it probably won't make any difference for games whatsoever. I've never heard of anyone recommending one router over the other based on performance in games and I've got a decent ring of gamer friends. I have a $50 router that can't handle my 3Mbit cable properly, but it has no effect on gaming whatsoever. (I ping a consistent 25ms to my favorite BF1942 server) I'm sure the D-Link I replace it with will be just fine for gaming, too.

People in this forum say good things about netgear I think, so... I reckon that's just fine.
