I put 'superfreak ringtone' into google, and all I can get are sites that send them via text to you, and then charge you $10 a month for more. I just want a simple MIDI, or MP3, RAZR compatible ringtone. I'd love not to pay for it too.

Where do you guys get your ringtones?

I know, I can also resort to iTunes converting them or something like that, but I'm sure someone's done it before me.

Can't you just download it then transfer it directly to your phone? Like a mp3 player? I use my phone a an mp3 player and just select a song from out of the ones on there.

Unless you don't have the cable, in which case you can get a friend who has to do it for you then bluetooth it?

I can't believe people still haven't figured out how to chop and edit songs into ringtones and transfer them to their phones via data cable.

11 seconds of what? You mean the max ringtone length is 11 seconds? You might have to cut it short with an editing program as a last resort if thats the case.

Can you chop your MP3 into a MIDI file too?

And I'll probably wind up doing that, but I like MIDI better.

With a RAZR, find the original song (in mp3), use audacity to chop it into a ringtone of about 30 sec, and upload to RAZR w/ USB data cable. Simple.
