Best replacement for system restore in win 7?

I would investigate why and fix it, because it could be a symptom of something worse.

I can't remember the commands off the top of my head, but an elevated command prompt will be needed along with the vssadmin command, which helps you play with restore points among other things.

I would also think of running a full disk check at a convenient time (chkdsk driveletter: /f /v /r).

How much free space is on your drive? Concur with mikeymikec. Also, make sure you don't hsve System Restore disabled. Mine is because I use a different approach to - I use dupicate drives instead.

I already use Acronis Trueimage, but I hope on an app which does a quick rollback, instead of me to always restore whole images which can take ages.

I can swap drives faster than Syetem Restor can do its thing. 🙂 Just the time it takes for a reboot.

RollBack Rx is the only comprehensive windows system restore that is available today. RollBack Rx and comodo are the only ones out there that do this well.
