best replacement for napster ?

its just a matter of when. possibly tomorrow could be the last day.
so to prepare us, can we recommend the most reliable replacement for
napster. the proggy should be stable, have loads of users, mega
libraries, and, most important, no central servers !

i'm currently tooling around with audiognome. looks good so far.
just finished test driving winmx. it proved to be bloatware. others,
please ?

They've been getting a lot of traffic lately from ex-Napster users and their site has slowed to a crawl. The word of a good service travels very fast. So AudioGalaxy gets my vote as well.

If I remember correctly, didn't they say they wouldn't start charging until the summer (July, if I remember correctly)? Besdies, if you haven't seen one of the recent threads on this, use the search function (extraneous posts = NEF).

And IMHO, FTPs will end up outliving all these proggies, if the companies ever decide to actually crack down on anything but the mainstream venues.

There is no alternatives!! The no# seat has always been there, Napster is only second to none!!

My vote goes to Pi*acy!! Yahhhhh! Buy one CD for $2, download the 150+ music into your HDDs, and copy or pass the CD to your friends!! Its that simple, why can't you guys live without the Internet to meet up with friends and listening to the songs together?? ')

No offence, ok! I know there are some who is very sensitive to this line of work..
