We opened a computer service/repair shop and currently use Excel to manage our customers. However we've grown to the point where we need better software to manage customers.

We repair cellular phones, computers, televisions, tablets, etc...

I need to have my employees login and manage their assigned jobs while also following through each project in a timely manner. I've looked up a few programs such as:

http://www.futurestarsoftware.com/ and http://www.pcrepairtracker.com/

I need something resides on our server at the shop, can be accessible remotely and integrates with Quickbooks. I also need it to be capable of allowing multiple employees be logged in at once and updating customer records.

I want something IDIOT PROOF.

Does SOMETHING, ANYTHING, exist?

What are my options? C'mon guys!!

You might be venturing into custom software development with specific requirements like that. PM me if you find that you have to go that route. That is what I do.

Look for helpdesk type software that tracks "tickets".
Quickbooks integration would be the toughy.

my GF works for an IT consulting firm in PA, they use something called "harvest" for ticket tracking. i *think* it integrates with quickbooks (accounting integration with them is a big deal for several products) but i dont care enough to hunt her down and ask :p
