Hi,
I was wondering if someone could recommend to me the best PC remote control software. I want to be able to control my home PC from work. Is PC anywhere the best solution for this?

Thanks
Steve

oooo i didnt even know this! seems a lot like an integrated microsoft version of logmein, using RDP though!!! im going to try this tonight.... i have never used RDP over the internet just because of the pita setup on both ends compared to vnc solutions.

MS does actually do a bunch of useful stuff, but it's just not as widely reported because the most visible people in tech media (i.e. the people who're in tech media to be popular, not good) these days are wedded to their Macs and hang onto every fart from Cupertino.

That, and Microsoft themselves also do a good job of shooting themselves in the foot by making it hard to navigate their product portfolio unless you hang onto every fart from Seattle :hmm:

One of the interesting things about Live Mesh is that you can switch between semi-tinfoil-hat / large volume sync and Dropbox-like modes. i.e. you can opt to sync your PC's peer-to-peer with no data cached by Microsoft, or just throw everything up on Skydrive.

teamviewer didn't really seem to do what I wanted... does it need someone at the other end to accept the connection? That's the impression I got.

I've tried Logmein and that works well for me. I can control my home PC from work (basically so I can get in the queue for SWTOR as my server can have 1 hour 30 mins wait time).

Thanks for all the help guys.

I have used PC Anywhere in the past but it is HARD to configure and the interface is a MESS…I guess PC Anywhere is DEAD now?
