<rant>I dropped my camera in the return flight. an as$hole decide to pick it up and play with it while I was sitting two seats away from him. I see the camera and he was formatting the SD card.(god knows what he was going to do with the camera) I took it back and hit cancel and saved a few pictures but most of pictures from my beautiful trip are gone!</rant>

what'd be the best possible software for this recovery. Paid software isn't an issue as long as it gets the job done better than free ones.

thanks!

If you happen to have certain SanDisk cards, it may have come with RescuePro or you may qualify for a free download.

If not, you can try the software in demo mode to see what files can be recovered before purchasing. I think it should work with any type of card.

They also have other similar photo/memory card file recovery software you can try:

That is truly a bizarre occurrence. I can't imagine someone being that stupid or incosniderate.

Anyway, RescuePro has worked for me on a CF card. A lot depends on whether or not any pictures were added after your cancellation. If you left it alone, chances are they can be recovered - at least those that were not overwritten by something.

Good luck!
